First Major Midwest Snow Event Of Season

Heads Up: Heavy snow is likely across the Central Plains into the Midwest this week.

A cold soaking rain and heavy snow will fall along a boundary marking the transition to much colder air.

It’s not too easy to pinpoint specific areas or amounts of heavy snow — but the latest GFS American model indicates the most likely area extends from Colorado, across a large part of Kansas, northeast.

Once the colder air settles in, it is likely to persist into the first week of November.
